Jamshedpur’s Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police tackle encroachment, illegal liquor sale, mining, and cybercrime in a district review.
Jamshedpur – In a comprehensive district level review of law and order held at the Collectorate Auditorium of the DC Office in Jamshedpur, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and Senior Superintendent of Police initiated strong measures against a range of illegal activities.
The issues addressed included encroachment, illegal liquor sales, unlawful mining and transportation, and cybercrime.
Following a thorough point-by-point review of the issues, guidelines were issued to the pertinent departmental officials.
All municipal bodies were directed to initiate regular investigations into encroachments and impose fines on culprits.
In response to road accidents caused by illegal parking on the National Highway, DTO and DSP Traffic were instructed to enforce investigations after 8 pm, with a strict mandate to penalize illegal parking of heavy vehicles.
In preparation for action against encroachments, officials were ordered to conduct miking a day before the punitive action, inform their superiors, and take action at the site with adequate police force.
Additionally, the municipal bodies were directed to ensure effective action against map deviations by conducting regular courts.
A special drive against illegal liquor makers was discussed, with officials instructed to take severe action and lodge FIRs against the culprits. Monitoring of interstate liquor movement was also emphasised.
Regarding illegal mining and transportation, immediate FIRs were ordered upon vehicle apprehension.
Furthermore, instructions were given to create public awareness in case of electricity connections registered in the names of deceased individuals.
Action taken in other sectors, such as pending warrants serving, CCA, and NDPS, was reviewed, and all police station in-charges were directed to closely monitor their jurisdictions’ WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook for cybercrime.
The meeting was attended by numerous officials, including DFO Mamta Priyadarshi, Rural SP Mukesh Lunayat, SDO Dhalbhum Piyush Sinha, Jail Superintendent, Director DRDA Saurabh Sinha, ADC Jaideep Tigga, ADM Law and Order Deepu Kumar, DTO Dinesh Ranjan, DMO Sanjay Sharma, DPRO Rohit Kumar, all COs, Executive Magistrate and officials of other related departments.
