Jamshedpur Police Apprehends 9 Vehicle Thieves, Recovers 6 Stolen Motorcycles

In a major breakthrough, Jamshedpur police arrest 9 vehicle thieves, recovering 6 stolen motorcycles, and send the perpetrators to judicial custody.

Jamshedpur – In a significant success for law enforcement, Jamshedpur police have dismantled a vehicle theft gang, arresting nine individuals and recovering six stolen motorcycles.

The arrested individuals, now sent to judicial custody, include Amit Munda alias Bittu Kalindi, Sagar Kalindi, Vasudev Behera, Ravi Mahanand, Amit Lohra alias Golu, Rohit Kumar Jaiswal alias Dharti, Gurmeet alias Golu, and Pankaj Sharma, a resident of Chaibasa.

City SP Vijay Shankar shared details about the case, explaining that a bike theft complaint was filed at Golmuri police station on April 24. In response, a team led by the station in-charge was assembled.

Based on confidential information, the team arrested Amit Munda on Tuesday. The arrest led to the recovery of a stolen Honda Shine motorcycle, and subsequent arrests of eight other individuals involved in the theft ring.

All the arrested individuals confessed to their involvement in the vehicle thefts. The recovered motorcycles were located following their leads.

After interrogations, all the accused individuals are now being sent to judicial custody.
