Jamshedpur’s new hi-tech MGM Police Station, built at a cost of INR 2.5 crores, is inaugurated by SSP Prabhat Kumar and is now open to the public.
Jamshedpur: A new era of law enforcement has begun in Jamshedpur with the inauguration of the new hi-tech MGM Police Station on Wednesday.
The station, constructed at a cost of approximately INR 2.5 crores over a period of seven months, was inaugurated by SSP Prabhat Kumar in a ribbon-cutting and coconut-breaking ceremony.

The new police station, equipped with all modern facilities, comes as a relief to the department, which was previously operating out of two rooms and faced numerous challenges due to the limited space.
SSP Prabhat Kumar informed that the process of shifting from the old station to the new building has begun. Until all documents and essential items are completely relocated, operations will continue in both buildings to ensure uninterrupted service to the public.
Although the station is now open, a formal inauguration by the government will occur at a later date.

The current inauguration ceremony was kept simple, with rituals performed to bless the start of the transition process.
The inauguration was attended by various dignitaries from the area and police officers, including the Rural SP and the DSP station in-charge.
