Deputy Commissioner addresses local issues including Aadhaar, voter cards, and water supply, offering immediate solutions at Janata Darbar.
Jamshedpur – In a significant move towards addressing local grievances, the Jamshedpur District Administration organized a Janata Darbar in Sankosai Khadiya Basti.
The event was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of the district, Vijaya Jadhav, who directly interacted with the residents to understand and resolve their issues.
A multitude of problems were brought to the fore during the meeting, spanning from Aadhaar card issues, voter card registration, birth certificate procurement, old age pension concerns, and ration card discrepancies.
Many of these problems were promptly resolved on the spot, while the Deputy Commissioner also issued directives to departmental officers to expedite the resolution of the remaining issues.
A major concern raised by the locals was the inadequate water supply. Responding to this, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav acknowledged that the current pipeline infrastructure was insufficient to meet the demands of the growing population.
As an immediate measure, water is being supplied to the settlements via tankers.
Vijaya Jadhav also revealed that a new project is underway to ensure adequate water supply based on the projected population till 2041.
The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for this initiative will soon be submitted to the state government.
This plan, once implemented, is expected to provide a comprehensive solution to the water problem in the coming days.
