Mango’s newly constructed drain breaks within a month, raising corruption allegations against Mango Municipal Corporation.
Jamshedpur: Within a month of its construction, a drain in Mango has already begun to crumble, prompting allegations of corruption against the Mango Municipal Corporation.
The drain, located on Sanjivani Path of Sankosai Road No.1, was funded by the MLA and constructed by the Corporation.
Local residents, alarmed by the swift deterioration, reached out to BJP leader Vikas Singh.
They recounted their experiences with the construction process, stating that the construction workers had boasted about their political connections and had threatened to halt the project entirely if faced with opposition.
Singh, visiting the site to observe the damage, condemned the Corporation, stating that it had “become an ocean of corruption.”
He highlighted that the purpose of the project had been to provide a convenience for the locals, but the poor construction had rendered it a hazard instead.
The BJP leader pledged to bring this issue to the attention of both the Deputy Commissioner and the Secretary of Urban Development, vowing to fight the corruption.
He also threatened to organize a picket at the construction site with local residents if the drain was not properly rebuilt.
The incident was witnessed by a number of local residents, who joined Singh in expressing their frustration and demanding a resolution to this issue.
