Prateek Sangharsh Foundation member sets Jamshedpur record with first-ever midnight SDP blood donation, potentially saving a patient’s life.
Jamshedpur: In a landmark event in Jamshedpur city, a member of the Prateek Sangharsh Foundation set a record by donating SDP (Single Donor Platelets) blood for a patient in dire need of treatment at midnight.
Rajkumar, a young member of the Foundation, made this unprecedented donation on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
Prior to the donation, members of the Jamshedpur Blood Center and Foundation visited Rajkumar’s house to commend his selfless act before proceeding to the blood center.
This is reported to be the first instance in Jamshedpur of a blood donation being made in the middle of the night to potentially save the life of a patient.
The act of such a magnitude was lauded across the city and by the members of the Foundation.
The director of the Prateek Sangharsh Foundation, along with the officials of the Jamshedpur Blood Center, expressed their gratitude to Rajkumar for his benevolent contribution.
