Day 4 of the Naval Tata Hockey Championship 2023 sees exciting victories; NTHA & Hockey Ranchi top their pools with 9 points each.
Jamshedpur: The Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Sub-Junior & Junior State Hockey Championship 2023 continued to enthrall audiences on its fourth day.
The day’s results were a mix of thrilling victories and fierce competition.
In the Junior Group, the fifth match of Pool-A League Stage saw NTHA trounce Hockey West Singhbhum 8-0, with goals scored by multiple players, including a double from Pradeep. Jems Hamsay from the losing side was named the Man of the Match.
The sixth match saw Hockey Simdega convincingly beat Hockey Khunti 6-0, with Sumit Barwa scoring twice. Ashish DungDung of Hockey Simdega was the Man of the Match.
Hockey Ranchi and Hockey Gumla emerged victorious in their respective matches in the Pool-B League Stage, with Hockey Ranchi defeating Hockey Hazaribagh 6-2 and Hockey Gumla thrashing Hockey East Singhbhum 13-0. Manoj Topno of Hockey Gumla bagged an impressive seven goals in this one-sided encounter.
The day’s subsequent matches saw NTHA, Hockey Simdega, Hockey Ranchi, and Hockey Gumla emerge victorious in their respective matches.
After all the league matches, NTHA topped Pool A and Hockey Ranchi topped Pool B, both with 9 points each.
Tomorrow’s fixtures are set for an intense face-off, with NTHA up against Hockey Gumla at 6:00 am and Hockey Ranchi vs Hockey Simdega at 7:15 am in the Semi-Finals.
