Fatal collision between trailer and bike in Ramgarh results in woman’s death, injuries to husband and child. Locals demand compensation.
RAMGARH – A tragic road accident occurred near Ramgarh’s Naisarai Mode on Wednesday, when a trailer collided with a Honda Shine bike, resulting in the immediate death of a woman.
The trailer, BR02 GA8837, was headed to Ranchi Road, while the bike, JH01DM 6802, was traveling from Ramgarh towards the same direction.
The fatal incident happened around 10:45 am when the trailer hit the bike near the Naisarai turn. The bike was carrying Shahadat Hussain, a resident of Mahua Tola Bhurkunda, his 20-year-old wife Sabina Khatoon, and their one-and-a-half-year-old child. Sabina Khatoon was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shahadat Hussain and the child were rushed to the nearest Naisarai hospital. Hussain sustained a fractured hand, while the child suffered a head injury.
The accident led to a three-hour roadblock on the Ramgarh Ranchi road as locals demanded compensation. The standstill was resolved around 2:30 pm, in the presence of district and police administration officials.
Ramgarh CO Sudhir Kumar, who was present at the scene, pledged full cooperation from the district administration and provided immediate assistance to the grieving family. State Executive State President Shahzada Anwar also arrived at the scene and advocated for appropriate compensation from the district administration.
