Jamshedpur Police launches mobile app helpline (9006123444) to streamline lost phone recovery, allowing online reporting without visiting police stations.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Police have taken a significant step in improving lost phone recovery by launching a mobile app helpline number to streamline the reporting process.
The district administration introduced the helpline number, allowing individuals to report their missing mobiles online without visiting the police station.
A program at the Bistupur police station auditorium marked the launch of the helpline number, 9006123444, where 157 lost mobiles were returned to their owners.
District SSP Prabhat Kumar reported that, to date, Jamshedpur Police have recovered around 1,200 lost mobile phones, with 800 of them being handed over to their owners through similar camps.
With the introduction of this online method, individuals can now register a report of their missing mobile from a friend’s or acquaintance’s phone, sending a message directly to the helpline number.
This report will then reach the police, who will promptly initiate the process of locating the lost mobile.
The SSP said that this initiative by the Jamshedpur Police demonstrates their commitment to making lost phone recovery more accessible and efficient for the citizens of Jamshedpur.
