Youth Congress protests Rahul Gandhi’s ‘persecution’, burn Narendra Modi’s effigy in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Youth Congress members today held a protest against the alleged persecution of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by the BJP government at the centre and burnt the effigy of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sakchi Roundabout on Thursday.

It may be mentioned here that a Surat court has sentenced Rahul Gandhi to two years in jail in a criminal defamation case.

The court’s verdict evoked a sharp response from the Youth Congress members and they came out on the streets to protest the judgment as well as the alleged persecution of their leaders by the government in power at the center.

At Sakchi roundabout, Youth Congress members burned an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lodge their protest against persecution of their leader Rahul Gandhi.

The demonstrators also raised the issues of rising inflation and unemployment, accusing Modi of being a deceptive leader.

They said that In the upcoming general elections in 2024, they would work hard to topple his government.

Neeraj Singh, the district president of Youth Congress, blasted Modi, saying that he had deceived the nation’s citizens.

The enraged Congress workers displayed their dissatisfaction by burning Modi’s effigy at Sakchi roundabout.
