Shobha Yatras see huge participation amid tight security and vigilance,
Jamshedpur: The city of Jamshedpur turned saffron on Tuesday to welcome the Hindu New Year that falls on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada on Wednesday, March 22. Three shobha yatras were taken out from different parts of the city and all concluded at Sakchi Aam Bagan Maidan.
A large number of members of Hindu community took part in the Shobha Yatras and flocked Aam Bagan.

On Tuesday, the city was virtually inundated in saffron hue to commemorate the oncoming Hindu New Year.
As was planned beforehand, three processions from three different parts of the city were taken out arranged by a number of Hindu groups, including the Hindu Utsav Samiti, and they concluded in the Sakchi Aam Bagan Maidan.
Due to strict vigilance from the police and administration, no untoward incident was reported from anywhere and the devotees participated in the shobha yatra without any wantonness or undesired behavior.

To ensure safety and orderliness, more than 500 police officers and jawans were deployed across the city.
The City SP, Vijay Shankar, thanked the people of the city for conducting the Shobha Yatra peacefully and assured them that the police department will extend all help for a smooth conduct of the shobha yatras.

The Shobha Yatra was successfully completed without any issue as the administration remained on toes to ensure that no problem crops up during the program and festivities.
