Jamshedpur: A few hours of rain have exposed the quality of municipal services in Mango.
The people of Mango, especially those who are living in colonies around Tank Road area, are facing difficult times due to waterlogging on roads.
The previous two days have seen significant rainfall in Jamshedpur, which has brought some reprieve from the heat.
However, waterlogging, meanwhile, is having an impact on the residents of Mango Municipal Corporation.
Due to waterlogging, residents in colonies built around the Mango Tank Road are unable to leave their residences.
It is now challenging for people to walk throughout the neighborhood since the roadways are inundated with drain water.
People have to pass through filthy sewer water to get anywhere.
The Municipal Corporation had previously been asked to clean and maintain the drain by locals, but no action was taken.
The short rainfall has shown the Municipal Corporation’s negligence, which has enraged locals Sunday morning.
The Bharatiya Jantantra Morcha has also taken a stance against the Municipal Corporation. The District President of the party Subodh Srivastava has threatened to launch a vigorous protest if the Municipal Corporation fails to find a solution to waterlogging soon.
