Guidelines for managing traffic, cleanliness and availability of water issued
Jamshedpur: The district administration is making extensive preparations to ensure that the Shobha Yatra on the eve of oncoming Hindu Nav Varsh is conducted without any problems.
The DC of East Singhbhum Vijaya Jadhav held a meeting with the members of different organizing committees of Shobha Yatra to be organized on the eve of Hindu New Year and issued necessary instructions.
Administrative and police officials were also a part of the extensive deliberations held during the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Vijaya Jadhav, met the members of the organizing committees of Shobha Yatra and administrative officials on Friday at the Collectorate Auditorium and reviewed the preparations.
The organizers of the Yatra have been advised by the deputy commissioner to keep in mind the ongoing matriculation and intermediate examinations and to steer clear of anything that can undermine communal peace and harmony or cause disruption of normal life.
Guidelines for managing traffic, drinking water quality, and cleanliness have been issued to the administrative officials.
All procession organizers have been asked to submit a list of their participants in order to ensure that the administration is able to seek their help and co-operation whenever needed.
The DC has also asked the organizers to organize the procession in an orderly manner and avoid employing huge and heavy trucks.
The Deputy Commissioner also sent her best wishes for the Hindu Nav Varsh to everyone.
