Locals block Bagbera DB Road, demand job for jawan’s widow
Jamshedpur: The dead body of the deceased Jaguar Jawan Arjun Kumar Verma was brought to his residence at Bagbera in Jamshedpur and was later cremated at Parvati Ghat Bistupur. A large number of people had gathered to bid the deceased jawan farewell.
The deceased jawan Arjun Kumar Verma was found dead at the JAP-8 training facility in Lesliganj, Palamu, Jharkhand Wednesday.
His dead body was brought to Bagbera in Jamshedpur.
Arjun Kumar Verma and his brother Dharmendra Kumar Singh were undergoing training in Palamu.
Arjun Kumar Verma allegedly committed suicide. His family members have alleged that he was harassed at the training center.
Once the body was brought over to Jamshedpur, the locals blocked the Bagbera DB Road area’s main thoroughfare and urged that the police take the necessary steps to probe the reasons for his death. They demanded that the jawan’s widow be given a job and the individual responsible for his death be punished.
The deceased’s brother demanded that a criminal case be filed against the authorities of the training center alleging that they coerced his brother to desperation.
Later, the dead body was cremated at Bistupur Parvati Ghat with state honors, in the presence of a large funeral procession.
