Snatching incidents on the rise in Jamshedpur
Jamshedpur: Snatching incidents are steadily rising in Jamshedpur. Criminals attempted to steal a woman’s chain when she was out for a stroll in the park near the Tinplate Kali Mandir under the jurisdiction of Golmuri police station.
Two young men rode up on bikes and attempted to grab the woman’s neck chain.
However, the woman forcefully grasped her chain and yelled for help.
One of the two youngsters was apprehended by the locals, while the other one managed to flee.
The snatcher who was caught by the locals was thrashed and then handed over to the Golmuri police.
An attempt was made to snatch a phone from a scooter rider in Mango last night as well, and both the snatchers are from Mango.
The SI, Gopal, of Golmuri police station said that during interrogation his other accomplice will be traced and further action will be taken.
