Jamshedpur: At least 5 to 6 shops were turned to ashes in a fire near Ashiana at Dimna Road area under the jurisdiction of MGM police station Tuesday night. All the shops belonged to roadside vendors.
The fire led to the complete destruction of at least 5–6 shops.
At this moment, it is still unclear as to what started the fire.
Most of the shops in the impacted area sold fruits and vegetables.
The business owners are said to have lost property worth at least Rupees 3 to 4 lakh.
After almost an hour, the Jharkhand Fire Department vehicles reached the spot and put out the fire.
The impacted shopkeepers are currently evaluating the damage.
As this is not the first time something similar has happened, local shopkeepers think there could be a conspiracy at work.
