Jamshedpur: Congress and BJP workers clashed in front of Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato’s office at Bistupur on Sunday. There were physical and verbal altercations and the police had to intervene to pacify the two sides.
At Bistupur, Jamshedpur, supporters of the Congress party had gathered in front of MP Bidyut Baran Mahato’s office on Sunday. They were protesting the attack in Tripura on Dr. Ajoy Kumar, the in-charge of Tripura Congress, recently.
A large number of Congress workers led by Dharmendra Sonkar had arrived in front of Bidyut Baran Mahato’s office at Bistupur.

However, BJP workers were also present there and they opposed the Congress workers’ protests.
Once a showdown between the two sides started, the cops intervened to put an end to it.
The protest by the Congress party was organized to oppose the attack on Dr. Ajay Kumar, who is in charge of the party in Tripura. The demonstration was headed by District Congress Working President Dharmendra Sonkar.
Moreover, BJP workers also showed up there, and the two sides engaged in a protracted exchange of slogans.

The groups eventually started a verbal and physical tussle, and the police had to step in to separate them.
After this event, members of the Congress held a sit-in outside the MP’s office.
