Police clashed with activists in front of the residence of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister and Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan. According to news channels, a PTI worker named Ali Bilal died.
The incident took place in front of Imran’s residence Zamane Park in Lahore on Wednesday. Pakistan’s PTI party filed a complaint at Racecourse police station in Lahore regarding the death. Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Home Minister Rana Sanaullah have been accused in this.
On the other hand, Punjab Police said that 11 policemen were injured in the attack by PTI workers. Among them are two Deputy Superintendents of Police and one Station House Officer.
Meanwhile, the CCTV footage of Ali Bilal being taken to the hospital has become a mystery. Lahore Police has formed a two-member investigation committee to find out the cause of Ali Bilal’s death.
In the CCTV footage, two PTI workers brought Ali Bilal to the hospital. At that time, he was seen on a stretcher in front of the hospital.
PTI workers protested against the arrest of Imran Khan in front of Zaman Park. When the police wanted to remove them, a clash took place. The Punjab government has issued Section 144 for seven days in Lahore.
