Jamshedpur: Arun G. Rathore, the Divisional Railway Manager of Chakradharpur, inspected the site of the proposed foot over bridge at the Jugsalai railway crossing on Sunday.
Before deciding on an appropriate place for the foot over bridge, he sought advice from engineering experts and looked over the map.
The DRM announced that work on the foot over bridge will shortly start.
The railway foot over bridge is being built by the Chakradharpur division of Indian Railways. According to reports, the railway overbridge and approach road were officially declared open on January 31.
Nevertheless, the railway has since blocked the crossing, inconveniencing the general public. The locals are demanding that the railways construct a footbridge as soon as possible for the convenience of walkers and cyclists.
