Chakradharpur: Villagers have once again blocked the Bamda railway station on the Howrah-Mumbai main route under the Chakradharpur railway division of South Eastern Railway causing great inconvenience passengers.
This has caused significant disruption in division train operations, with many trains stuck at various stations.
The villagers want all trains to stop in Bamda like they did before the COVID-19 pandemic, and despite the Railways stopping six trains at the Bamda and Bagdih stations, the villagers are still upset that their demand has not been met.
They claim to have requested train stops on numerous occasions, but to no avail, which is why they have resorted to blocking the railway track.
The villagers intend to keep the rail blockade in place until their demands are met, and railway officials have been unable to persuade them to remove the blockage.
The railways have lost revenue as a result, and while officials had previously granted train stoppage after a similar blockade, the villagers are still dissatisfied with the current situation.
