More than 60 varieties of nursery on display in flower show, Colorful cultural programs as well as delicious dishes available
Jamshedpur: The 32nd Flower Show has begun at Gopal Maidan. It is being organized by Jamshedpur Horticulture Society at the city’s historic Gopal Maidan. It was formally inaugurated on Friday in a colorful program.
Kolhan Commissioner Manoj Kumar was the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony. Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Tata Steel, also attended the ceremony as a special guest.
Many dignitaries of the city including Ruchi Narendran, president of the Horticulture Society of Jamshedpur, took part in it.
Giving details about the flower show, Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Tata Steel said that the flower show is also an important part of the glorious history of the city.
Nurseries of more than 60 varieties have been brought in this flower show and put on display, which is unique in itself. Nature lovers from all over the country are participating in it, which shows that Jamshedpur is really a steel city, a clean city and a green city.
At the same time, Ruchi Narendran, president of Jamshedpur Horticulture Society, said that this is an important occasion. Through this flower show, we will bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new year.
She said that something new has been provided for everyone in this flower show. Colorful cultural programs will be organized every day. Along with this, the people coming here will also be able to get tips about the art of horticulture too.
She said that along with this, people will also be able to get information about different varieties of flowers.
Apart from this, she added, one will also be able to enjoy delicious dishes during the show. Overall, for the next 4 days, the residents of the city will be able to see and learn a lot through the flower show.
