The Indian government will be making the corona sample test (RT-PCR) mandatory for people coming to India from China, Japan, North Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Media reports quoted India’s Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya saying, ‘In the next one week, countries with high infection rates will be identified. (Covid-19) RT-PCR report should be uploaded for those coming to India from there. Then only you have to come.’
India’s health minister said, ‘Passengers will have to upload their corona report on a government website and undergo thermal screening while landing in India.’
He also said, ‘After reaching India from those countries, if someone shows symptoms or is corona positive, quarantine should be observed.’
Earlier this week, the Indian government had given instructions to increase testing to detect new variants in various states.
At the same time, he also mentioned the rise in the cases in China and other parts of the world and urged everyone to wear masks.
