Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren leads villagers’ dharna against Putru toll plaza

Jamshedpur: Thousands of villagers, led by Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren, sat on a dharna Wednesday near Putru on NH-33 near Galudih police station of Jamshedpur to protest the toll plaza set up there.

MLA Ramdas Soren said that the JMM will continue to protest the construction of this toll plaza until the NHI takes action.

He said that two toll plazas within a 60-km radius of NH-33 are in violation of the law.

In addition to charging Rs 200 for each toll, passers-by have to suffer the hassle caused by the toll plaza.

He said that JMM is a party that is sensitive to the needs and problems of the common man. The toll plaza has been causing a lot of hardships for the locals.
