Police are looking into the angle of marital discord being the prime reason for the crime.
Jamshedpur : A woman, a resident of Shanti Vihar Colony under the jurisdiction of Ulidih police station of Jamshedpur, was found murdered Tuesday morning. Her husband R Singh is suspected of having hit her with a stick causing her death and then having escaped.
Ulidih police are investigating the case and trying to nab the absconding husband.
The incident is said to have happened in the early hours of Tuesday. After carrying out the incident, the accused R Singh, allegedly fled from the site of occurrence.
The deceased was found lying on the ground and bleeding profusely. The neighbors informed B Yadav, the landlord of the house.
B Yadav reached the spot and informed the Ulidih police about the incident. After getting information here, DSP Patmada Sumit Kumar, Ulidih police station in-charge Meghnath Mandal reached the site and launched investigations.
According to the information received by the police, the house belongs to Y Prasad and T Yadav lives in a rented house.
T Yadav had gone to attend the wedding ceremony with his family. He had given the care of his house to his sister-in-law, R Devi, the deceased.
R Devi allegedly arrived in the house with her children on Monday.
Her children told the police that they live near Dimna Chowk and their father R Yadav is a truck driver.
They said that this morning the father suddenly arrived there and started quarrelling with their mother. During arguments, he picked up a big stick and hit their mother on head. He, allegedly, fled after leaving her bleeding.
The police have also recovered the stick used in the incident.
