Hindu Nav Varsh Yatra in Jamshedpur today

Yearly procession to start MGM and conclude at Ambagan Sakchi, Another yatra from Golmuri Cable Cricket Maidan

Jamshedpur: All preparations for Hindu Nav Varsh Yatra in the city have been completed. Several processions and programs have been lined up by various cultural organisations to mark the celebration of start of Hindu new year.

Hindu Utsav Samiti today said that it is all ready to take out a Hindu Nav Varsh Yatra on Friday. A big procession would be taken out as a part of the new year celebrations.

Rambabu Tiwary, president, Hindu Utsav Samiti, said that like every year this year too the procession will start at MGM grounds in Dimna and would traverse Dimna Road, Mango Chowk and would finally reach Sakchi. The procession would conclude at Aam Bagan, Sakchi, he added.

Hindu Utsav Samity officebearers have asked the citizens to attend the Hindu New Year programs without any inhibition.

He said that for all Hindus celebrating the beginning of new year is important from the cultural perspective.

Addressing a press conference of Hindu Utsav Samiti at Hotel Crystal in Sakchi, the founder of the Samity, Mrityunjay, said that corona proved to be a big crisis during the last two years.

However, he said, in India, traditional food, medicine, ayurvedic and Hindu cultural practices protected the people from the epidemic in a big way.

He said that Hindu Utsav Samiti is organizing Hindu Nav Varsh Yatra this year too.

Rambabu Tiwari, president of Hindu Utsav Samiti, said that like the previous years, this year also the yatra would be a grand cultural event.

After two years of restrictions on processions and other events during the Corona crisis, the state government has finally given permission to hold processions.

A Hindu Nav Varsh Yatra would also be taken out from Golmuri Cable Cricket Ground at 2 pm.

This Yatra will be started by 21 pundits by performing Shankhnad.

In this yatra a large number of devotees from Odisha and Bengal will also participate.

Various types of tableaux, horses and camels including Ramji’s chariot, Shri Ram’s court, glimpses of Hindu culture, Bharat Mata’s chariot etc. will be seen in the yatra.

Hindu Utsav Samiti has called upon everyone to participate in the yatra.
