Protest held against price rise at Dhatkidih, Jamshedpur

The protestors also opposed the failure of the central government in containing inflation.

Jamshedpur: A protest was held at Dhatkidih against price rise and wrong economic policies of Narendra Modi-led government at the centre.

The protestors also opposed the failure of the central government in containing inflation.

The program was organized near Dhatkidih Ambedkar Chowk. The program was presided over by Block President Lakhwinder Karva and Rita Sharma.

The protest was organized today against the rise in the prices of petrol and diesel as well as cooking gas.

Mrs. Rita Sharma said that today inflation is touching the peak. She said that the price of petrol-diesel and gas has increased so much that the common man will not be able to bear it.

She said that the wrong policies have caused immense problems for the people and now by increasing the price of petrol and diesel, the Modi government is working to overburden the poor and the marginalised.

She said that on the one hand the Modi government says that they work for the masses, on the other hand, it is forcing the people to virtually starve.

She said that the situation has become so bad that even a common person finds it difficult to run a household.

She said that the government should rein in inflation as soon as possible and also reduce the price of petrol, diesel and gas.
