Sanjeev Sahu said that after winning the election, Banna Gupta failed to keep his promises and turned his back on the people and started ignoring the party workers.
Jamshedpur: A large number of Congress workers have quit their party and joined BJP under the leadership of Sanjeev Sahu of Sonari. Most of the workers belong to Jamshedpur West assembly constituency.
The development came as a big jolt to the already tottering Congress party in Jharkhand.
BJP leaders, including BJP’s district president Gunjan Yadav, warmly welcomed the leaders and workers who quit the Congress and joined the BJP.
Sanjeev Sahu, who led the exodus said that he had joined the Congress at the behest of Banna Gupta during the assembly elections. He said that earlierhe was a BJP worker.
He said that after winning the election, Banna Gupta failed to keep his promises. He said that Banna turned his back on the people and started ignoring the party workers.
He said that he is very happy to return home again.
He said that the next time BJP has to be brought to power again in Jharkhand, and the Prime Minister’s dreams have to be realized.
