MLA Saryu Roy also joins dharna in support of protesting traders
Jamshedpur: City traders sat on a dharna near Bistupur traffic signal to protest the Monday loot, in which unknown criminals decamped with around Rs 32 lakh in cash in transit to bank. The cash belonged to Chhaganlal Dayalji & Sons.
The police are yet to identify the culprits and not much headway has been made till now. The police are still investigating the case.
However, traders went on a protest dharna alleging deterioration in law and order in the city.
It may be mentioned that in this incident, unidentified criminals had looted Rs 32 lakh from employees of renowned gold trader Chhaganlal Dayalji Sons.
Although the district administration had assured that the criminals would be caught within a day, but this did not happen and all the traders sat on a dharna against it.
A dharna was held near Bistupur traffic signal in which Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai also participated.
Roy said that the government should be strict on law and order issue and the district administration should bring changes in its working style so that the law and order is so good that criminals do not dare take chances.
