A large number of BJP workers took out a rally and marched to the district headquarters to oppose the decision to allocate room for namaz in Jharkhand Assembly.
Jamshedpur: City BJP took out a rally and held a demonstration at the district headquarters in Jamshedpur against the decision to allocate a room for Namaz in the Assembly building. The party termed it blatant appeasement and demanded that rooms be allocated to all religions in the Assembly building on the same lines.
BJP has been agitating against the decision to allocate room for namaz in Jharkhand Assembly for the last several days.
On Tuesday, BJP workers and leaders staged demonstration at all the district headquarters of the state.
A large number of BJP workers and supporters took out in Jamshedpur, where the district Along with the committee, all the leaders and workers of the state and youth committee demonstrated.
The women’s unit also opposed the decision to allocate room for namaz and demanded similar facilities for all religions.
Speaking to media, the Mahanagar BJP President Gunjan Yadav said that the this decision taken by the Speaker is being opposed not only by the BJP but also the common masses of the state.
He accused the government of indulging in the politics of appeasement only to please a particular section of people and said that the BJP will not tolerate it. He said that protests would continue till the government withdraws the decision.
