Jamshedpur: A Teacher Felicitation Programme was organised today at People’s Academy in Baradwari, Sakchi.
The teacher felicitation ceremony was organized at People’s Academy School, Baradwari to mark the Teacher’s Day.
Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy too attended the programme and felicitated the teachers.
The program started by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President of India and the second President.
After that, the head teacher and teachers of East Jamshedpur were felicitated with a certificate and garland by Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy.
In his address, Saryu Roy said that the quality of education in a government institution should be better than that of private schools.
He said that the results of the children should be good. He said that even those children who score 80 to 85 percent in examinations would be felicitated.
He said that there is a shortage of teachers and schools. That too has to be addressed.
He said that it is necessary to have all types of facilities available to the students in the school, so that children can study effectively in school.
