Jamshedpur: The city police have solved the case of Birsanagar youth murder and have arrested 2 persons on the charges of homicide.
The gruesome crime was perpetrated Tuesday night when a youth was killed by slitting throat in Birsanagar Zone 3B.
The police have succeeded in solving the case and finding the accused.
In this case, after arresting two criminals from outside the city late on Friday night, the police team reached the city on Saturday.
Speaking to the media at the SSP office on Saturday, the Senior Superintendent of Police Dr M Tamil Vanan said that A Tiwari was killed in Birsanagar as a result of a tussle for supremacy between two groups.
After forming a team under the leadership of City SP Subhash Chandra Jat, the police took action and arrested two criminals.
The two accused arrested in the murder case are B Gorai and N Gorai. Another accused is still absconding.
The SSP said that the chain recovered from the site of occurrence belonged to B Gorai.
Based on the statement of the two accused the knife used in the murder has been recovered by the mobile police team.
He said that B Gorai was returning from a party on the day of the incident. He got into an argument with A Tiwari. At night, he planned to kill the latter with the help of his associates and after that they killed him.
The SSP said that during the murder, B Gorai held his hand while his associates slit his throat. Later, after crushing the head with a stone, all the accused escaped from the site.
He said that two accused have been arrested and another is absconding.
He said that the third accused too would be arrested soon.
For now, the two arrested accused have been sent to judicial custody.
