Hemant Soren Govt to launch New Sports Policy soon

The Sports Minister of Jharkhand Hafizul Hasan Ansari inspected the training camp for AFC Women’s Championship and attended a meeting held to review the preparations for the mega event.

Jamshedpur: The Sports Minister of Jharkhand Hafizul Hasan Ansari reached the city on Wednesday.

He was received by the All India Football Federation at a hotel in the city.

Later, a meeting was organized to review the preparations for the AFC Championship to be held in 2022.

The Sports Minister of Jharkhand Government Hafizul Hasan Ansari interacted with the players.

Simultaneously, he discussed the preparations for the National Games with the players.

The National Games are all set to start from 17 January 2022.

Preparations have been started for the women’s football events. 30 players from India have reached Jamshedpur and include 2 players from Jharkhand too.

The players are being groomed by the All India Football Federation.

The Sports Minister of Jharkhand Hafizul Hasan Ansari unveiled the new jersey of the women’s team for the AFC Championship.

Sports Director Zeeshan Qamar, Deputy General Secretary, Football Federation Abhishek Yadav, Team Head Coach Thomas Derby, Football Team Captain Asha Lata Devi were present on the occasion.

Minister Hafizul Hasan Ansari said that the Hemant government will unveil a new sports policy.

He said that the youths living in Naxal affected areas of Jharkhand will be connected with sports.

The minister said that action on the new sports policy will be started from Khunti, Seraikela, Chaibasa, Simdega.

He also lauded Tata Steel for supporting the training camp.

The head coach of the team, Thomas Derby said that he is satisfied with the whole team’s practice so far.

He said that there are still four and a half months left in the AFC Championship.

He said that the team will be fully prepared to perform better.

On the other hand, women’s team captain Asha Lata Devi said that all the players of the team are very happy.

She said that we are part of the national team of India. A big responsibility has been given, we will try to fulfil that responsibility well.

She said that everyone is working very hard during the practice session.
