All injured persons referred to TMH for treatment
The death toll in Kandra-Seraikela Road Accident has now increased to 4 and it includes 2 drivers and 2 children. The Health & Disaster Minister Banna Gupta met the injured in MGMCH and promised them all help. He also got them referred to TMH for free and better treatment.
Jamshedpur: The death toll in the Kandra-Seraikela road accident near Gopidih has now increased to 4. The deceased include auto rickshaw driver Roshan, 8-year-old Sonu Lohar, 2-year-old Vidyansh Lohar and the car driver.
According to eye witnesses, members of a family had gone to Govindpur in Seraikela for attending a function. While returning, a speeding car hit them head on in an attempt to overtake another vehicle. The auto rickshaw was thrown aside.
However, the driver of the auto rickshaw Roshan fell on the road and was crushed by a truck coming from behind. The car driver too died in the accident, while two children too succumbed.
The Health and Disaster Management Minister of Jharkhand Banna Gupta visited MGMCH and met the persons injured in the road accident near Kandra. He ensured that all the seriously injured persons were sent to TMH for better treatment. He also instructed that treatment of the all the injured be done free.
The health minister condoled the demised those who lost their lives in the road accident.
He met the members of the family and assured them that he would help them in whichever way he could under the appropriate provisions of the government.
It may be added that a speeding truck hit an auto rickshaw head on near Gopidih on Kandra Main Road in Seraikela-Kharsawan district killing 3 persons and causing injuries to 9 persons Sunday evening.
The head-on collision was so strong that 3 people in the autorickshaw died on the spot. At least nine persons were seriously injured in the road accident.
All were sent to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur.
According to information received, members of the same family, all Mango residents, were returning from Seraikela by an autorickshaw.
At around 4:00 pm Sunday evening, a cement loaded truck from behind rammed into the autorickshaw.
The impact was so big that three people died on the spot.
