The Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste was welcomed with traditional drum beats and welcome song at Sitaramdera Adivasi Bhawan.
Jamshedpur: The Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste was given a grand welcome by All India Tribal Association at Sitaramdera Adivasi Bhawan on his arrival in city.
On the arrival of the Union Minister in the tribal building, the members of the society gave him a warm welcome with drums.
On the occasion, women took blessings of the Union Minister by applying tika to his head according to the tradition of the community.
Before the guest reached the stage, the welcome song was sungby the youth team of the society.
After that the minister and other guests started the program by lighting the lamp.
State President Gurcharan Nayak, former MLA Maneka Sardar, BJP leader Abhay Singh, former MLA Laxman Tudu, former BJP leader Amar Preet Singh Kale were present on the occasion.
The Union Minister of State was welcomed by the society members by garlanding him.
On the occasion, the President of Gaur Samaj Dinesh Sah Gaur informed the Union Minister about the non-issuance of caste certificate due to lack of Khatian.
He also put forth the community’s demand for a community building in the city.
The society members also submitted a charter of demands to the Union Minister.
Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste assured the society members that he would provide all help to them.
After the program, the Union Minister in his address said that the society has more than 10 MPs in the Parliament. All are working for the betterment of the community, he said.
He said that the community played an important role in the fight against the Mughals.
He said that the society is doing important work for solving the problems of the members. He said that The people of the society will get its benefits in the coming days.
