JMM delegation met the JIADA MD and urged him to either ensure jobs and payment of compensation to the displaced persons or revert the company land to original ryots.
Seraikela: A delegation of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Friday met the Managing Director of Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) and demanded that the land allotted to the companies like TGS and Long Products be reverted to the original roots.
During the meeting on Friday, the JMM delegation also submitted a charter of demands. Through the charter of demands, the JMM delegation demanded that the land of the companies be reverted to the original ryots.
Representatives of the displaced from 12 villages were present along with the JMM delegation in the meeting.
The JMM delegation said that preparations are being made for a sit-in demonstration in front of TGS and Long Products Gate on August 30.
JMM leaders said that in 1904, the land was acquired by the Tata group from the tribals and native ryots by offering them jobs with compensation.
However, they added, the Tata group has gone back on its promises.
In such a situation, they said, the problem of livelihood is now staring at the local natives and tribals.
The JMM leaders demanded from the JIADA management to either return the land of the local tribals and natives or to ensure that they are given proper compensation and jobs.
