Baharagora MLA kicked off a football tournament organised by SSC Sporting Club in Sunsunia village of Bhatkunda panchayat in Chakulia block of East Singhbhum.
Chakulia: A two-day football tournament was organized by SSC Ipotting Club in Sunsunia village of Bhatkunda Panchayat in Chakulia block of East Singhbhum district.
Baharagora MLA Samir Mohanty attended the football tournament as the chief guest.
On the occasion, the organizing team of football tournament welcomed and felicitated the MLA Samir Mohanty with a bouquet.
The MLA was introduced to the players in the field at the beginning of the final game.
After that the final match was inaugurated by him by a kick-off.
Earlier, the tournament committee gave a rousing welcome to MLA Samir Mohanty by garlanding him.
After that, a scintillatingly competitive match was played between Barubhutia Football and Hong Kong Bengal Football teams. Barubhutia team won the tournament, while the runners-up trophy was won by Hong Kong Football Team.
The MLA gave away the first prize of Rs. 17000, second prize of Rs 13000 thousand and third prize of Rs 7000.
On the occasion, JMM district organisational secretary Doman Chandra Majhi, Block President Saheb Ram Mandi, Vice President Balram Mahto, Nirmal Mahto, Madan Hembram, Bishal Barik, Ramjit Baske, Raju Karmakar, Ram Baske, Pintu Pramanik, Hari Shankar Mahto and others were present.
