The CM, after conducting an aerial survey of the areas inundated by flood in Sahibganj district, said that compensation will be given to the victims after assessing the magnitude of the flood. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various schemes in Sahebganj.
Sahibganj: The Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren said that all possible help will be provided by the government in the flood affected areas of the state.
He said that after assessing the magnitude of the flood, compensation will be given to the victims.
He said that the state government was fully committed to the safety of the people affected by the floods.
The Chief Minister was addressing the people during the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of various schemes and distribution of assets at the football ground of Barhait block in Sahibganj district.
The Chief Minister said that the government was working diligently for basic facilities like supply of food items to the people affected by the floods, their transfer to a safe place, providing them medical facilities.
Along with this, arrangements are also being made to bring the cattle to a safe place and their fodder.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of 35 schemes and inaugurated various schemes for Sahibganj district.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister gave acceptance letter to 02 beneficiaries from Panchkathia Santhali Panchayat, 01 from Kadma Panchayat under Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojna and distributed acceptance letters to 02 beneficiaries from Panchkathia Panchayat under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) Housing Plus. . Under JSLPS, a grant amount of Rs.12,45,000 was given to Jyoti Aajeevika Sakhi Mandal (Barhait Santhali Dakshin) under RF.
Apart from this, funds were also provided to the beneficiaries under various schemes.
After the program, Chief Minister Hemant Soren took stock of the flood situation in Sahibganj district by conducting an aerial survey.
Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam, Rajmahal MP Shri Vijay Hansda, Borio MLA Shri Lobin Hembram were also present in the program.
