Jamshedpur: Jugsalai police have solved the loot case in which two Zomato delivery boys were looted near Jugsalai Shiv Ghat on July 26 last. The police have arrested one Sikandar and sent him to judicial custody in this connection. They are trying to arrest another accused of the case, who is still absconding.
According to police sources, two Zomato delivery boys were returning after making a delivery when they were accosted by two accused and threatened with a razor.
The two accused threatened them with a razor and snatched their mobile phones and wallet with cash.
The two delivery boys had filed an FIR with Jugsalai police.
According to police, the accused Sikandar lives in Kapali OP area and has been named in two other criminal cases too.
The Jugsalai officer-in-charge said that the two delivery boys Saheb and Purushottam had stopped near Shiv Ghat for answering nature’s call, when the two accused accosted them with a razor.
The police investigated the case and zeroed in on the two accused. They also recovered the looted mobile phone and wallet with Rs. 700 belong to the complainant Saheb.
The other accused, he said, is still absconding and the police are trying to nab him.
He said that the other too would be nabbed soon.
