Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur thieves are targeting Hindu mandirs like never before. In another incident, they broke the donation box kept at Ranikini Mandir Friday night and made good their escape from the place without any problem.
Rankini Mandir falls under the jurisdiction of Kadma police station.
Lately, there has been a steady increase in theft and vandalism incidents in different mandirs of the city.
Only a couple of days back, 7 iron domes were stolen from Bhuwaneshwari Kali Mandir at Bhatia Basti in Kadma.
Thieves are doing their work with intrepidity and hardly has any of them been nabbed by the police.
The rise in the incidents of theft, in Kadma as well as elsewhere in the city, are causig a lot of disaffection among the people.
Many citizens are now preparing to form teams to keep a vigil in their respective areas.
