Adityapur: Villagers living nearby Managalam City residential complex beside Adityapur-Kandra Main Road in Seraikela-Kharsawan district are up in arms against deep boring within Mangalam City premises.
The villagers allege that the residents of Mangalam City are getting deep boring done at night owing to which the water level in the entire area has been falling quickly.
Stung by the problem of sinking water level in the area, the villagers have been opposing deep boring.
On Friday, a large number of villagers started gathering at the gate of Mangalam City and started opposing deep boring.
The local councillor too arrived at the place and supported the villagers.
The local councillor Abhijit Mahato said that deep boring is being done without the permission of the corporation causing a sharp fall in the water level in the entire area.
The boring vehicle driver and his team members left the place seeing the opposition.
The villagers have warned the residents of Mangalam City not to try to get deep boring done again without requisite permissions.
