Ranchi: The Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren today paid homage to the Hul Diwas martyrs Sidhu-Kanhu, Chand-Bhairaw and Fulo-Jhano along with thousands of other freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives in the first battle for freedom.
The Chief Minister said that Hul Diwas is a special day to remember the struggle, sacrifice and rebellion of the tribals against the British rule.
The Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid homage to martyrs Sidhu-Kanhu.
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is the land of heroes and martyrs. In 1855, tribals, under the leadership of Sidhu-Kanhu, showed indomitable valor and courage and fought against the British. They sacrificed their lives for their rights and the country, he said.
The martyrdom of such heroes of Santhal rebellion will always inspire all of us.
He paid tribute to all the brave Martyrs of Santhal rebellion.
On this occasion, Abhishek Prasad, Press Advisor to Chief Minister, Sunil Kumar Srivastava, Srr Personal Secretary to Chief Minister and Shri Vinod Pandey also paid tribute to martyrs Shaheed Sidhu-Kanhu.
