Jamshedpur: A youth was shot dead in Ulidih Tuesday morning in broad daylight.
The deceased has been identified as Ankit Kashyap. He was fired at from close. He was rushed to MGMCH by the locals, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased was a resident of Kalikanagar.
According to police sources the accused is a resident of Sankosai Road No. 5.
Police sources say that the deceased was having a chat with his friends near Subash Colony, when the accused named arrived there and shot him.
The bullet hit Ankit Kashyap in his waist. He was rushed to MGMCH, but died on the way.
The incident has caused a sensation in the entire area.
Ulidih police have launched an investigation into the case. Eye witnesses have identified the person who shot the deceased and have named him to the police.
