Complete weekend lockdown begins in city, restrictions till Monday 6 am

Strictly follow guidelines of complete lockdown : DC

Jamshedpur: Complete weekend lockdown has been imposed in the city for the second consecutive week. With a view to check spread of covid-19 pandemic and thwart the possibility of a third wave, the state government has announced complete weekend lockdown in the entire state. This is the second week when the city too would observe a complete weekend lockdown after some relaxation for business in weekdays.

During the complete lockdown all businesses and establishments, barring health services, will remain closed.

The DC of East Singhbhum Suraj Kumar has appealed to the citizens to follow the rules of complete lockdown and contribute in the efforts to break the chain of corona infection.

All shops including vegetables, fruits, grocery shops will remain closed as per the instructions of the government from 4 pm on Saturday to 6 am on Monday. During this time only establishments related to healthcare will remain open.

During the complete lockdown, all shops including fruit, grocery, sweets, food shops will remain closed on Sundays.

However, healthcare establishments, drug shops, petrol pumps, hospitals, diagnostic centers, CNG-LPG shops etc will remain open as before.

Home delivery and take home facility will be available. Highway dhabas, milk sales centres, cold storages, warehouses will remain open during the complete lockdown.

The DC appealed to the residents of the city to fully comply with the instructions issued.

He also asked all the people living in East Singhbhum district to comply with the instructions of the government.

He also made it clear that the operation of private vehicles without exigencies will also be restricted during complete lockdown.
