Relaxation in lockdown makes people careless, 5 die of corona within 24 hours in RIMS

Ranchi: Some relaxation was in the offing. As the state went into an unlock mode slowly, the graph of deaths caused by the pandemic too moved upwards. It seems any relaxation takes a heavy toll on the people as most go into a relaxed and carefree mode and start violating corona safety protocol.

Relaxed rules prompted people to go careless. Although Corona infection cases may have come down, the graph of death has once again started rising.

This can be gauged from the fact that five people have died of corona in just 24 hours in RIMS alone.

Talking about Jharkhand, the daily death numbers are not decreasing. On May 12, not a single death was reported from Corona in the second wave.

On the other hand since April 1, not a single day has passed when the pandemic has not killed people.

The mortality rate is not going down in Jharkhand the way it was expected. The mortality rate for the entire country is 1.20%. However, for Jharkhand it is 1.48%. So far 5084 people have died due to corona in Jharkhand.

These districts are East Singhbhum, Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Simdega. Barring these four districts, the number of positive patients is decreasing rapidly in other districts.

The recovery rate is going up for the state, so the number of patients is bound to decrease. The recovery rate in Jharkhand has gone up to 97.53 percent. So far 3,42,420 corona positives have been confirmed.

Corona cases have come down significantly in a few districts. This can be gauged from the fact that positive cases are being found in Dumka, Godda, Jamtara, Lohardaga, Pakur, Sahebganj. Now less than 60 active cases are remaining in these districts.
