It is indeed disturbing to know that the world has been kept in complete dark about the possibility of Covid-19 virus having originated in a man-made lab. While China has quite obviously been dismissive of the suggestions of a lab-leak in Wuhan, the fresh facts emerging from multiple sources lend credence to the belief that a concerted effort might be on to hide the truth from the world at large.
There was a time when the entire mainstream US media as well as most of the famed medical journals, like The Lancet, went into an overdrive to discount the theory that the pandemic may have been a consequence of an accidental, or worse, an intentional lab leak.
However, in the light of fresh facts emerging, even Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of US, had to admit that the lab leak angle cannot be dismissed so lightly.
The new facts make him complicit, too. It now emerges that Dr. Fauci too has a conflict of interest in the matter. He had an incentive to cover up the origins of the pandemic since he had a hand in financing the gain-of-function research.
Now, it has been learnt that Dr. Fauci once, way back in 2012 to be exact, had advocated the need for risky viral experiments to continue, including the ones relating to gain-of-function mutations.
All facts suggest that there is more to the pandemic than meets the eye. The US deep state as well as Dr. Fauci, who were instrumental in funding the gain-of-function research in China, know more than what the world suspects them of knowing.
It may take years for the entire facts to see the light of the day. However, one thing is sure. Scientists, world over, are carrying out research that border on most dangerous possibilities for the humanity. While, some may dismiss the concerns expressed over such researches as anti-science sentiments, there is a need for a wider debate on whether governments and scientists should be asked to be more transparent about such risky scientific researches and studies or not.
The science is in knowing it all in a safe way, not in risking the very existence of humanity.
It is better to be a caveman than being a dead man.
