Female teacher was going to deposit money in the bank with her husband
Two criminals riding bike snatched bag on main road, managed to escape
Jamshedpur: Two bike-borne criminals snatched Rs. 6 lakh from a female teacher and her husband at Bistupur in broad daylight and managed to escape. Police are still investigating the case. No arrests have been made yet.
The couple had withdrawn money from Bank of India, Bistupur branch and were proceeding to Bank of Baroda to deposit the money there. However, they were targeted by bike-borne criminals, who snatched their bag and made good their escape easily.
The victim woman is a teacher by profession and was going to deposit the money with her husband in the bank.
The incident happened in broad daylight at Bistupur Main Road area near Gangour Hotel.
According to the information, the woman after having withdrawn Rs. 6 lakh from Bank of India in Bistupur with her husband was going to deposit the money in BoB branch.
The teacher and her husband have lodged an FIR about the snatching.
The victim teacher’s name is Ruma Dey and she formerly taught at Kadma Baldwin School. She is currently teaching in a school in Bengaluru. She came here last December.
The couple has a house in Kadma Bhatia Basti.
