Jamshedpur: Tata Steel kicked off Productivity Week celebrations observing inaugural function and Productivity Conclave today.
The theme of this year is ‘Productivity enhancement through the adaptation of agile systems’. The week is being observed from February 12-18, 2021. Atrayee Sarkar, Vice President (Human Resource Management), Tata Steel and Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary – President, Tata Workers Union, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. The inaugural function and the productivity conclave was organised on an e-platform where employees across the organisation participated in the event.
Atrayee Sarkar spoke about the various pillars of productivity. She mentioned that upskilling will lead to increase in productivity and help achieving better quality results by doing more with the same/lesser resources. Furthermore, she added that everyone in the organisation needs to work in collaboration with talent banks to bring automation in manufacturing sector to foster productivity.
Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary shared about the importance of being agile and productive and appreciated the agility showed by our employees during the unprecedented COVID 19 times.
Productivity Conclave was organised on the topic ‘Evolution of manufacturing Technology and future of productivity’ by Mr. M K Tiwari, Director, NITIE Mumbai and ‘Role of Agility and Technological transformation in enhancing productivity by Mr. Pawan Bhageria, President Strategic Business, Tata Technologies Limited.
