Bike-borne senior citizen dies in road accident near Golmuri

Jamshedpur: A bike-borne senior citizen was hit by an unidentified vehicle near RD Tata Gol Chakkar. The senior citizen was seriously injured in the road accident. The driver of the vehicle, that had hit him, managed to escape from the site.

The locals informed the Golmuri police about the accident. Golmuri police arrived at the site of occurrence and rushed the injured senior person to Tinplate Hospital. However, the doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased senior person was identified as Janapad Barua, 71, of Namda Basti, Golmuri.

The police have sent the dead body for post mortem.

A case has been registered against the driver of JH05BB 6328 vehicle based on the statement of Saurabh Barua, the son of the deceased.

Saurabh told the police that his father used to work in a cloth shop at Sonari and was going to his work. Meanwhile, they were informed that he died in a road accident.

The police are trying to find the owners and drivers of the vehicle involved in the accident.
