Jamshedpur: Coronavirus claimed one more life on Friday in Jamshedpur taking the total death toll due to the pandemic in East Singhbhum district to 372.
The woman from East Singhbhum, who died on Friday was from Kadma and she was admitted in RIMS, Ranchi. She succumbed to the pandemic during treatment. She was 62 years of age.
According to official data, 19 new cases of coronavirus infection were also detected in the district. All the new cases hail from urban areas including Bagbera, Govindpur, Sonari, Kadma, Mango, Bistupur and Baridih.
With this, the number of infected persons in Jamshedpur has now reached 16,886. On the other hand, 17 patients were also declared cured and were discharged from hospitals. Till date, 16,310 patients in the district have recovered.
Till date, 4,06,970 samples have been tested in the district. Out of these, 16,886 samples have tested positive, while, 3,89,402 samples have tested negative.
