Rescued dogs given over to dog lovers for adoption
Jamshedpur: Red Paws Rescue Foundation on Sunday held an exhibition of rescued pups and dogs in CH Area and then successfully handed over 11 pups and dogs to different dog-lovers for keeping them.
Jamshedpur Red Paws Rescue Foundation has been rescuing and serving abandoned and stray dogs for the last two years.
The Foundation members identify abandoned and stray dogs roaming around the streets and then rescues them. The Foundation also keeps them for some time and then after making them fit and healthier, it holds exhibitions so that dog lovers can come and adopt them.
Most of such rescued dogs and pugs, normally, are of desi breed and these are not of elite or foreign breed.
Neha alias Rajeshi Pandey of the Foundation said that the Foundation has been serving and protecting stray dogs and pups for the last two years. Such rescued dogs finally reach one or another dog lover.
The Foundation also provides a belt, a chain and one month’s food for the dog on its adoption.
Besides, each pup is also given anti-rabies vaccination.
The Foundation says that rescuing stray dogs in this manner helps in controlling rabies. It says that while it helps the dogs, it also helps those who love keeping dogs.
The Foundation put up an exhibition near Circuit House at the road side and handed over 11 pups and dogs to those who wanted to keep them.
Those who adopted dogs offered by the Foundation included Arushi from Jugsalai, Neha from Telco and several other dog lovers.
Those who made the programme successful included Anish Patel, Saurabh, Monas, Rajeshri and Shriram.
